Hey There...
Hey there.
If I sell FIVE Albums That Never Were shirts, Then I'll post a new reconstruction this weekend.
Well I bought a t-shirt because I rally enjoy what you do. But I have one small request, I can't find Medicine Sunday Bob Dylan anywhere. Could you re-up it?
Please consider going patreon. $1 dollar per month. One hundred subscribers. $100. Or $2 dollars 50 subscribers. $100
There's a big demand for your work. People want to reward your time, effort, knowledge and passion. The detailed entries are a pleasure to read. That's what the subscription is gor. Nothing more. If any links to material are made available somewhere, then that's entirely coincidental to the servuce offered!!!
Your Google docs link should be patreon too! If you had a pdf or word document of all your writing, then that would be another sweet deal. It's a book in the making.
Well, you can all thank Cindy, Will, Ken & Vicki, D.S. and Will. I'll post a new reconstruction tonight or tomorrow morming.
Thanks for your support, guys!
Just a little bit of real talk about myself... I'm a musician/songwriter, freelance audio engineer, widowed single dad and I live paycheck to paycheck. I love doing this blog but the daily grind of life really overshadows this, as creative/fun stuff falls to the wayside because I have to pay rent, you know?
I guess no one noticed that I monitized and added ads to this blog last year I think... That only earns me about $100/year. Lol
But several folks have suggested Patreon, and I think that's what I am going to do. On average I have 1000 visiters on this page per day. I think a $1 subscription to read this blog is way reasonable. Maybe a second tier of hearing the reconstruction as a streaming thing, and a third tier of access to The Archive?
What would you all pay for that? What is a reasonable price? Of course, this would allow me to guarantee a monthly reconstruction, and probably extra stuff to post I suppose too.
Feedback needed, otherwise you can expect a monthly t-shirt drive before I post!
Right now, I think I'll do a free tier of just the post itself. Then a $1/mo for the post + the streaming audio. Then a $5/mo for everyone above, plus access to my archive, plus bi weekly behind the scenes stuff, and a voting poll to decide the next reconstruction...
I bought a shirt way back when you first offered them. But I had no idea that you'd put ads on your site. I just un-Ad-Block'ed your blog, so now you'll get a few more micro-pennies every few days.
Your reconstructions are incredible. I listen to Prince's "Dream Factory" and Smashing Pumpkins' "Glass And The Ghost Children" all the time.

I'd be interested in a subscription. But how often would you post something?
DeleteI would go back to a monthly reconstruction post.

Is that reasonable?
Also would anyone be interested in exclusive auctions of one off vinyl reproductions of my reconstructions?
DeleteI would be interested in the vinyl reproductions.
